Zoila, 34, and her daughter Alexandra, 9, in a migrant shelter still under construction in Reynosa, Mexico. Zoila and her partner fled Honduras with their four children because of extreme violence and crime.

Daniel (left), 19, and José (right), 20, in a shelter for migrants and asylum seekers in Reynosa, Mexico. The two brothers fled violence in Honduras after the death of their grandmother left them without any family in the country. Now, they are waiting for a chance at asylum in the United States so they can reunite with relatives.

Dalila, 29, and her six month-old daughter, Blandina, are living at the “Senda de Vida” migrant shelter in Reynosa, Mexico, at the US southern border. Dalila left Haiti in 2017 and spent over four years living in Chile until she and her husband decided to seek safety and dignity in the US. Dalila was pregnant as they traveled through several countries, and gave birth to Blandina when they crossed the border into southern Mexico.
